Burnt Sienna

I had long been familiar with a paint in my color-box called Burnt Sienna, and was now much interested to learn that it was made of the yellow clay on which the city of Siena stands; and when I discovered for myself that this clay, having formed the bed of some antediluvian ocean, was full of fossil shells, I thought that Siena was a place where I would do well to spend one of my lifetimes.

It is interesting to see what colors people use the most, Burnt Sienna is a great color, a very versatile earth red so it's no surprise to me that it's one of top colors used.
